So we got to see our little Teddy Bear tonight. Looking and sounding healthy at exactly 9 weeks old. The doctor was very pleased with what he saw and said it was at the “Teddy Bear” stage, where the fetus looks like a … yup, a teddy bear. I don’t know if that is an official term or his own, but none-the-less, it was a cute description that I will gladly steal from him.
I will post more tomorrow, but for now here are the facts and pictures below.
Age – 9 Weeks 0 Days
Length – 2.48 cm (pretty darn close to 1 full inch)
Heart Rate – 175 beats per minute
Here you can see the brain and the arms. Looking like, as the Dr. called, a Teddy Bear.
This scan shows the heart rate at the bottom right.
This scan shows the gestational age (GA) and the crown to rump length (CRL) at the bottom right.
Beautiful pictures of my nephew or niece!! I'm not sure about a Teddy Bear though ~ more like two marshmallows with hands! Thanks for sharing!!
